The Advantage
When pool owners add Sense and Dispense, Total Pool Chemistry technology to their Pro Logic or Aqua Plus controls, they get the first controls to offer integrated chemistry automation. That is a significant accomplishment, which means that there is no additional box on the pool pad and no additional power line required, so pool owners still only use their control pad or remote to control all functions of the pool and spa. This integration lowers installation and energy costs since the power comes from the existing controls. The technology can also be added to new or existing control units, and the level of control can be customized for the individual pool owner based on their needs and the needs of the environment.

Pool owners can add the Sense and Dispense to their Aqua Rite Pro salt chlorinators. As with the Pro Logic or Aqua Plus controls, the Aqua Rite Pro salt chlorinators can be featured with integrated chemistry automation that does not require a separate box on the pool pad or an additional power line. And while there are existing products that may provide chemistry automation, Sense and Dispense is the only integrated solution that can be added to new or existing Aqua Rite Pro salt chlorinators at any point in time.

How It Works
Sense and Dispense, Total Pool Chemistry technology consists of two chemistry kits. The first kit senses pH and ORP levels and dispenses a self-renewing supply of pure chlorine generated from salt. The second kit lowers pH by using CO2, which has been shown to be particularly effective on salt chlorinated pools where the pH tends to drift up. By using CO2, pool owners are able to reduce the pH to recommended levels by forming H2CO3 (carbonic acid), a safe acid that does not require handling.

Both chemistry kits are used for controls and chlorinators. Additionally, the technology can support commercially available Peristaltic Acid pumps preferred by some pool professionals for the management of pH (This approach does not require the second kit to manage pH). And since the Sense and Dispense option can be added to both new and existing controls and chlorinators, pool builders and service professionals can feature the product as an initial upgrade or come back to customize the maintenance after the sale.

Due to the tremendous sales growth of Goldline's pool and spa controls and the need for more manufacturing capacity, we have made the difficult decision to phase out the production of our HVAC/R control product line. We appreciate the loyalty that customers such as you have shown Goldline over the years and want to work with you during this period to make sure that you have an orderly transition to a new control supplier.

We plan to stop production by January, 2005 and then continue to sell the remaining inventory of controls on a first come, first served basis. If demand is very strong, it may force us to accelerate the schedule, so please review your requirements and get your orders in ASAP so that we can plan for material and production time. The sooner we have visibility to customer requirements the better we will be able to plan and satisfy your needs.

The new facility will house Goldlines engineering, service, and administration offices as well as a greatly expanded manufacturing capability necessary to support continuing sales growth. The Aqua Logic® combines all of the chlorine generation capability of the industry leading Aqua Rite™ Electronic Chlorine Generator with 4 high voltage relay output, 3 valve outputs, and heater control. One remote display/keypad is included, and up to 2 additional display/keypads can be added. A 100 Amp circuit breaker subpanel is standard. Mike DeLand Named Regional Service Manager

Mike will be based in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ and will be responsible for the management and training of authorized service centers throughout the Western United States.

Marvin Schulte Named Regional Sales Manager

Goldline Controls® is pleased to announce that Marvin Schulte has recently joined us as our Central Regional Sales Manager. Marvin will be based out of Houston, TX and will be working closely with the numerous sales representatives and service centers throughout the center of the USA.

This additional regional sales manager position was created due to the tremendous growth in sales experienced in this area of the country. Marvin will be joining our Eastern Sales Manager, Tom Evans, and our Western Regional Sales Manager, John Rodriguez, to continue offering exception sales support throughout the nation.
